Join us for readings by authors Joseph Dandurand and Mahtab Narsimhan. These books feature illustrations of children and their relationship to nature. The stories teach us the value of giving and sharing.

Stitch by Stitch
2:00-3:00pm  |  Ages 4-8
Join us for a reading of "The Secret Pocket" by author Peggy Janicki. This book is based on the author’s mother’s experience at residential school. It is a story of survival and resilience in the face of genocide and cruelty. It is a story of quiet resistance to the injustice of residential schools that tells of the sewing skills passed down through generations of Indigenous women that gave these girls a future, stitch by stitch.
