Blue Pencil: Writing Consultations with a Professional Editor

Local writers have a chance to receive professional advice on their writing project. You will be able to submit a writing project of up to 2500 words and be paired with a professional editor from Editors BC. The editor will prepare a report on your project and meet with you to go through it and give feedback.

This event prioritizes Surrey based writers. Writers from other municipalities in BC are welcome to register and will be paired if there is space. 

• Participants must be 18 years of age or older. 
• Poetry, scripts, or academic papers are not accepted. 
• Editors BC reserves the right to reject submissions if they are tainted with any form of hate or prejudice. 
• Consultations are provided as a one-time service to authors. Past participants are not eligible. Please, register for one session only.

Once registered, each participant will receive further instructions on how to submit their writing project (must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the event itself).

For this online program, we will be using Microsoft Teams. You will need a computer with a microphone (or headphones) and webcam, or your smartphone, or an iPad/tablet.
