Playgrounds & Kid Friendly Parks
Surrey is home to a wide range of wonderful parks, and they are all worth checking out but here is a selection with toddlers and children in mind.

Crescent Beach (South Surrey)

Lots of options for beach access, including at Sullivan Point where there is a lifeguard on duty from 11am-7pm in the summer. Good free parking options, as well as public washrooms. Also nice in the fall and winter when you can see lots of migratory birds around Blackie Spit Park.

Bear Creek Park (City Centre)

Lots of great options for spending the full day. Playground, water park, outdoor pool, and the Surrey Arts Centre right next door. Also has a free winter lights event and a miniature train that can be ridden for $7.

Edgewood Park (South Surrey)

Nice neighbourhood park with a neat playground that includes a zip line.

Hawthorne Rotary Park (City Centre)

Large playground and waterpark with washrooms and changing rooms

Hazelgrove Park (Cloverdale)

Has a purpose build parkour course, waterpark and playground. Is about a 1km walk from the Clayton Community Centre so it is easily combined with a library visit.

Penzer Action Park (Langley City)

Located close to the Surrey border. Great option for school age kids, it has an impressive parkour course, bike park, and a unique skate bowl and pump track combination.

Redwood Park (South Surrey)

Good playground, and pretty walking trails with a lot of unique trees. Also has a fairy garden in the western part of the park.

Tynehead Park (Guildford)

260 hectare park, with lovely walking trails. Also has a paved Tynehead Perimeter Trail that is a 5km loop. It is a great option for a family bike ride. There is a long uphill section but it isn’t steep and is free of vehicle traffic.

Unwin Park (Newton)

Unwin features a unique accessible playground. Wonderful option for those with mobility issues, but also ideal for younger toddlers. Also has an outdoor pool and waterpark.
