Are you curious about Creative Nonfiction genre? Do you know what it is? One of the popular definitions for it is “True Stories, Well Told”. Maybe you have a powerful, true story to share with the world, but not sure how to do it most effectively?

Come to the workshop and gather insight from Taslim Jaffer, a writer, editor, and writing instructor with a special interest in culture, identity, and home. Her work has appeared in various online and print publications such as Maclean's, CBC, WestCoast Families, Peace Arch News, and more. Her essay on passing down language was published in the anthology Tongues: On Longing & Belonging Through Language (Book*hug Press, 2021). She is co-editor of the forthcoming anthology Back Where I Came From (Book*hug Press, 2024). Taslim has been teaching creative and expressive writing in community and rehabilitative settings since 2015.
