Free virtual basic computer training. Free, 12 week program where you will receive coaching and guidance in employment-related areas, learn key online job search skills and networking skills. For permanent residents, open work permit holder, refugee claimant or non-Canadian citizen.

English and Citizenship Classes

English and Citizenship Classes @ Options Community Services
Options Community Services is moving some of their classes online in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These classes can be accessed from a home computer or smartphone, all from the safety of home. Free online English classes start on April 14 with morning and afternoon classes. There will also be Learn English Through Discussions and Debates starting April 17.

Options are also offering an online citizenship preparation class, Discover Canada starting on April 20. Learn about Canada, and prepare for the citizenship exam.

SIYS Corps - Surrey Intercultural Youth Service Corps Project

6 weeks of skills training and 11 weeks of volunteer work experience for youth aged 15 to 30. SIYSCorps program brings together a diverse group of motivated youth to become active community ambassadors. We provide valuable leadership training, community engagement skills and volunteer placements, so that youth can build community connections. Training will also include job search skills, resume building, financial literacy and essential life skills that will help youth gain valuable experience in community engagement and enhancing employment opportunities.
