English and Citizenship Classes

English and Citizenship Classes @ Options Community Services
Options Community Services is moving some of their classes online in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These classes can be accessed from a home computer or smartphone, all from the safety of home. Free online English classes start on April 14 with morning and afternoon classes. There will also be Learn English Through Discussions and Debates starting April 17.

Options are also offering an online citizenship preparation class, Discover Canada starting on April 20. Learn about Canada, and prepare for the citizenship exam.

Mothers Matter Centre is an organization dedicated to serving socially isolated mothers due to language and cultural barriers. The office is currently closed due to the pandemic but staff are connecting with mothers virtually. The centre is also offering resources for parents in response to COVID-19 such as a weekly, in-home schedule that is full of easy to follow parent-child curriculum format. The daily activities are designed to touch on critical domains like physical activity, playtime, learning time, and family time. A new package will be released every week. Virtual Code Club Sessions
Code Club Canada is offering free coding sessions via Zoom for kids aged 7 - 12 years old. They work on a new project every week.
