Semiahmoo Potters began in 1994 by a group of eleven local potters. After taking pottery classes together via a White Rock’s Community Arts Council program, their goal was to provide studio space for experienced potters. They wanted to continue developing their craft through the sharing of ideas and new techniques while working together. The goal continues to this day; run as a cooperative, SPS members commit to helping manage firings, sales, learning opportunities, and community outreach. We participate in club workshops and regularly attend club meetings. Over the years a lengthy waiting list has indicated strong and continued community need. We currently have over forty active members and a constant waiting list.
