It was hard to put down this book.

Have you heard of Sarah Grimke? Sixteen people in my book club and myself haven’t known about her until reading this historical fiction. We were all very surprised, especially, those who were born and raised in the United States, since that is part of the American History. Sarah Grimke was an American abolitionist and a member of the women’s suffrage movement. You can find out why and how she became such an independent thinker and activist of her time. The novel reads smoothly and tells a story of Sarah, her sister Angelina Grimke, and a slave girl named, Handful. It was hard to put down this book. (Submitted by Mariya)
