Reading and Writing

Teen Publishing Workshop

Sat May 29 | 1:00 pm - | Digital Branch

This program is for teens ages 12 to 18.

Are you an aspiring writer? Do you want to publish your writing? Join Linda Xia to learn how she became a published author. She will talk about the different kinds of publishing and share her experience working with hybrid publisher New Degree Press. She'll also share general tips for preparing your manuscript for publication.

Linda Xia is a past winner of the Surrey Libraries Youth Writing Contest. Her first book, Heir of Blood Secrets, will be published in August 2021. Linda will also be hosting a Teen Creative Writing Workshop.

For this online program, we'll be using Microsoft Teams. You'll need a computer with a microphone (or headphones) and webcam, or your smartphone, or an iPad/tablet. For safety purposes, we require everyone to turn on their webcam at the start of the program to verify their identity. You may then choose to turn your camera off.

An email address is required for registration.
