Join us for an Author Reading + Q&A with Karen Pheasant-Neganigwane!

Karen Pheasant-Neganigwane is an Anishinaabe dancer, educator, writer, artist and orator from Wiikwemkoong on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. Her book Powwow, published by Orca is a celebration of Indigenous song and dance. Karen is an Assistant Professor at Mount Royal University in the Treaty Seven region and lives in Calgary. Her parents are residential school survivors.

Powwow eBook is currently available at Surrey Libraries for immediate borrowing. Apply for a Surrey Library card online if you don’t have one (and are 12+ years old.)
