Literacy

The ability to read and to understand information is more important now than ever. In British Columbia 40% of adults do not have the skills necessary to read a newspaper, fill out a work application form, read a map or understand a lease. If you or someone you know can't use printed information effectively, the library can help.

At the Library

The library has books, kits, DVD's and online resources for improving Reading, Writing, Math & Numeracy, Oral Communication, and more. Find more in the library catalogue or come to the library, where you will find many resources in our English Language Training section.

Learning Express Online database with tutorials for math, reading and writing, as well as practise tests for professional exams
