Movies — Your favourite films on the big screen!

Board Games — Risk, Uno, Apples to Apples, Battleship, and more! Snacks and relax.

Poetry Slam Workshop — An afternoon of spoken word poetry for teens! Read your poem and get feedback from mentors on writing, style, and performance! Up to 3 minutes per poem.

Photography Workshop — Learn composition basics and go ‘shooting’ with Greg MacCluskey! Workshop and one-hour photo walk. Great way to get ready for the Teen Photography Contest!

Book Lovers' Literary Cafe — Snacks, tea, and your favourite books! Come prepared to share.

Teen Writers' Camp — Bunk down for 5 weeks and 4 amazing authors: Lois Peterson, kc dyer, Lorna Suzuki & James McCann! Polish your work for the YA Writing Contest, Camp NaNoWriMo, or just because you love writing!
July 4, 11, 18, 25 & August 1– 2-4:30pm – City Centre – 12-19

Writing & Drawing Comics — Work with graphic novelist Jonathon Dalton to create your own short Work with graphic novelist Jonathon Dalton to create your own short comic, manga or graphic novel. Write, storyboard and draw your comics masterpiece!

Teen Writers' Circle — Come work on your writing for the YA Writing Contest. Share ideas, learn great tips and get creative!

Cosplay Picnic — Come join us for a picnic at Holland Park! Dress up as your favorite anime character, zombies, homestuck, vampires, Dr. Who or anything else you can think of! Photoshoot, games and snacks!
August 13 – Meet at the library at 1:30pm. At Holland Park 2-4pm

Flamenco & Spanish Folktalks — Live Flamenco performer and storytelling!
August 26 – 6:30-7:30pm – Ocean Park – Preteens, 10-13

Let's Talk Science! — Hands-on science with photonics and DNA extraction! Hosted by SFU’s Let’s Talk Science.
