Computers and Internet


Internet Access

Internet access is available at all library branches.  Stations are available on a first come, first served basis.  Bring your library card to sign on for up to 60 minutes per day. 

Guest Internet Access
Visitors and newcomers who do not have a library card may request guest internet access.  Show your I.D. to the information desk staff and they can sign you on for 60 minutes.  Without I.D. you may be limited to 15 minutes.

Internet Only Cards
If you are homeless or temporarily living in a Surrey shelter you may request an Internet Only library card, valid for 90 days – please ask at the checkout desk. Identification is requested but not required.

Internet & Multipurpose Stations

Internet Stations have basic internet access with Internet Explorer. 

Multipurpose Stations have internet access with Internet Explorer plus:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to download and open email attachments   


Wireless Access

Wireless Internet Access is currently available at Newton Library.


Computer Learning Centres & Computer Classes  

Computer Learning Centres and computer labs used for classes and sometimes available for drop-in use, located at Guildford Library, Strawberry Hill Library and Semiahmoo Library.
