Teen Advisory Group (TAG)
What does TAG do?
Surrey Libraries' TAG members help make the library a great place for teens!
- Help plan and develop teen programs at the library
- Give feedback on the library's collection (books, music, movies), and on the library's Teen Central website
- Suggest improvements for the library to better serve teens
- Volunteer to help run programs and community events
TAG earns you volunteer credit hours for attending meetings and participating in youth programs.
Membership Criteria
To join Teen Advisory Group, you must:
- Be 13-18 years of age
- Have a valid library card
- Attend monthly TAG meetings (one hour)
- Volunteer in the library a minimum of 10 hours annually
- Use the library appropriately
If you miss more than 3 meetings in a row without notification, you will have to reapply.
Where and when does TAG meet?
Join a TAG at a location near you: City Centre, Fleetwood, Guildford, or Semiahmoo Libraries. Once you join a group, you can only change locations with permission from the group leaders.
Anyone interested in joining can fill out an application form, get it signed by a parent and attend the next meeting at the chosen location. For more information call Ellen at 604-598-7436 or eywu@surrey.ca.
City Centre Library TAG

Location: City Centre Library Teen Lounge (L3)

Fleetwood Library TAG
